This piece was painted for the District 10 office in Denver to represent their area. I love this beautiful oak tree imposing its long arms on the structure in the low spring light, leaving moody shadows in the foreground. And the Cheesman Park Colonnade is looking very governmental! In that vein and with the current environmental issues, it seemed appropriate to name the painting "Nature v Man," while nature impatiently waits for man to figure out appropriate legislation to help her. It’s not lost that it is the start of spring and time for rebirth. Feel the revitalizing glow in the air.
